our values

1. Jesus.

Jesus is our message. We believe that we discover life and freedom through the salvation Jesus purchased for each of us on the cross. We are passionate about introducing people to Jesus and encouraging them toward a personal relationship with Him. Our mission is to be fully devoted Jesus disciples.

2. prayer.

Prayer is our ongoing conversation with the God of the universe. Prayer is powerful, and it defines who we are. As a church, we want to provide opportunities for people to speak to and hear from God, as well as times of worship that celebrate everything God is doing in the lives of His people. Prayer is powerful, personal, and precious.

3. community.

When we accept Jesus, we are adopted into His family. God loves people and so do we. At Local Church, we value individual families of every kind and together we are one big family! People are the heartbeat of our church. Our church places a high value on people’s lives, their dreams, their needs and their journey. We believe that church provides a place for us to do life together, surrounded by a community of friends and family that are invested in our spiritual growth.

4. Holy Spirit.

We believe we are to be filled, gifted and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Without Him, our walk with God is void of the fullness of who God is. Our prayer is that everyone who walks into Local Church would come to know the person of the Holy Spirit intimately and feel comfortable inviting the Spirit into every aspect of their life.

5. generosity.

God is a generous God. As a church, we value and believe in being a generous people in every area of our lives: our time, our energy and our finances. We believe it is a privilege to share the blessings we have in order to make a difference in the lives of those around us. Especially to help those in need.

6. fun.

We think life should be fun and filled with joy and laughter. We endeavour to be a church family that doesn’t take themselves too seriously, can celebrate every win, stop and enjoy the moments that deserve it, and establish a culture of encouragement, joy, and peace.
